Centre Coordinator
(Full-time, Permanent role)
We’re looking for a proactive person to take on this varied, ‘hands-on’ role at Gorton Central, our community hub and home, where we develop exciting, innovative and quality services and collaborations.
The Centre Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our busy community hub. The Centre Coordinator will report to the Service and Business Manager, and will line manage centre volunteers
Salary: £27,711 - £30, 060 per year, starting at £27,711 (points 12-17)
Position type: Permanent
Working hours: 35 hours a week over 5 days. For this role, we expect the post holder to work at Gorton Central 4 days a week, including Wednesday (shared team workday) and Thursday (Good Food Gorton activities day), with a day working from home (to be negotiated Monday to Friday)
Location: Gorton Central, Gorton, Manchester, M18 8PE.

Community Archive Manager - Gorton Together Heritage Programme
(Fixed term - ends November 2027)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced person to join Healthy Me Healthy Communities CiC. The Community Archive Manager will oversee all the archive aspects and functions of a community heritage programme, producing both physical and digital archives to be held by Manchester City Council.
The Community Archive Manager will report to the Gorton Together Project Manager and supervise any sessional workers and contractors related to the project archive functions, and provide volunteer supervision.
Salary: £35,235 per year full-time equivalent (point 25), actual £14,094 per year
Location: Based at Gorton Central, Gorton, Manchester, M18 8PE
Position type: Fixed term (ends November 2027)
Working hours:
14 hours a week over 2-3 set days, including Monday and other days to be negotiated and confirmed between Tuesday and Friday. Core working hours are 9 am-5 pm, and this role may involve some evening work as defined by the programme delivery.
Start: As soon as possible.
